Looking after one’s physical health can mean different things for different people. We can support you to access a range of services that support a variety of physical health needs. Making the choice to improve our physical health has many benefits including improving our mental health and wellbeing, but it can be tough to know where to begin. Whether your goal is to get more active or you are living with a disability or long-term health condition and require more specialist support, we can point you in the right direction. Previously at the Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space we have hosted Yoga sessions and a Tai-Chi Taster session, so keep up to date with our schedule to find out what’s on.

Do you need a health check?

It’s important to get the recommended amount of health checks for your age and when you notice a shift in your overall health. That’s why the Space can refer you to organisations with dedicated health professionals who can deliver and support you with health checks.

Are you living with a disability?

Whether you want to know more about disability under the Equality Act, require support accessing mental health services or need specialist advice for your disability, there are numerous charities ready to help. The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space can refer you to an organisation equipped to give you the specialist support you require.

Are you living with a long-term health condition?

Long-term conditions or chronic diseases are conditions for which there is currently no cure. They are managed with a range of treatments and support. Long-term health conditions are also linked to the development of mental health issues. The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space can refer you to organisations that can support you if you’re living with a long-term health condition.

Physical activity is one of the most effective means for improving our overall health and wellbeing. You don’t need a gym membership to be active. We have lots of tips and advice for increasing and improving your physical activity in ways that are sustainable and enjoyable.
