Further education includes any study after secondary education that’s not part of higher education. The courses range from basic English and Mathematics to Higher National Diplomas.

FUNDING

Many courses in reading, writing and basic maths are free, and you may not have to pay tuition if you’re under 24 and studying for your first qualification equivalent to GCSE or A level.

Croydon University Centre delivers higher education courses right here in the heart of Croydon. They offer high quality, affordable university degrees and higher national courses directly to the community. Studying a higher education course can give you the opportunity to change your life by opening up career opportunities and broadening your horizons.

London South Bank University has recently opened a new healthcare and business campus in Croydon. Through courses that are accredited or designed in partnership with employers, with a focus on personalised learning, LSBU Croydon could help you become a nurse, business leader, accountant or entrepreneur.

Whichever course you choose, having a degree can open up a number of career pathways and opportunities. Where better to study than at a brand new purpose-built campus, in the heart of Croydon?

The Open University offers flexible part-time study, supported distance and open learning for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and qualifications.

They offer more than degrees too. So, if you’re not ready to commit to a 3 or 4 year course, you could start with a certificate or diploma of higher education. This allows you to gradually build your studies, and if you opt for a degree later, you’re already part way there.

Croydon Adult Learning and Training is the home of adult education in Croydon. CALAT is one of the largest education providers in the country. They offer more than 500 part-time courses every year at three venues across the borough of Croydon, on behalf of Croydon Council.

All Inclusive Training are based in West Croydon and provide high-quality training for accountancy and payroll students. They have experienced financial advisors, business advisors and accountants from within the financial sector.
